This is one game that I really hope gets released on the PC platform sooner or later. The special effects looks realistic and truly Next-Gen. Check out some of the coolest videos over this link.

Crysis - Game of the year 2007
I am not a game reviewer, just an avid game player. So if you expect some kind of review then pelase visit this link. Thanks to the internet, I got a copy of Crysis just as it got released worldwide and I now have access to one of most stunning games of the year 2007.
Frankly, I built my PC last year in anticipation to play Crysis and the game got delayed by an year. Anyway, it was worth the wait, I think I have not played any games in the past 2 - 3 years beyonnd the first 2 levels! But Crysis makes me sit late nights and play the same levels with different strategies [:)]

Anyway, it was worth the wait, I think I have not played any games in the past 2 - 3 years beyonnd the first 2 levels! But Crysis makes me sit late nights and play the same levels with different strategies [:)]
What I like -
- Most stunning visuals (even at medium detials and 1024 resolution) - Depth of field, volumetric clouds look good even on DX9
- Great gameplay - Stealth mode and cloak mode is simply brilliant. I appreciate the fact that the cloaked mode drops down as you move or the minute you start shooting at enemy soldiers. But what makes it good is that you can cloak and watch how the enemy moves and strategies before making the attack.
- Innovative level design and art works
What I don't like -
- AI sucks atleast at easy mode. I think this is one promising area where some one like Microsoft should release an SDK and provide all AI routines which can be called across any games.
- Annoying bugs at places, this is really bad on Crytech, considering they delayed the game release by an year.
Hope Crytech can fix some glitches and make a patch available ASAP

Delphi 7 on Vista
Yes, there is a dodgy way of doing it. Installation is smooth though, except the warning by "Program Compatibility Assistant" (The "Woo" part of Vista, it irritates me so much).
Anyway, once you get away from this, installation is smooth. But, soon as you install and launch Delphi 7, it throws an error message which says "Unable to rename <>\Delphi32.$$$ to Delphi32.dro. Ouch!!! we have run in to problem.
The solution is to make sure that the Bin folder under the Delphi7 installation has write permission to the user account under which you have logged on to Vista. Also make sure the folder "Projects" too has the write permission for the same account.

Hubble's view of our universe
Universe - in all it's glory and splendour!!! I am speechless, does man kind play any significant role in this cosmic activity? If we consider the time frame of the cosmos origin, then humans have made their debue just for tiny fraction of a second and probably will last for another second or so and then will be gone forever?

VS 2005 bug while using BackgroundWorker in debug mode
This seems to be a bug in VS 2005. While using BackgroundWorker component for running a certain task in a thread, I could not debug the application "step by step", mainly in the "DoWork" event. The code did just fine, but I wanted to check out a certain variable value at certain point.
After a lot of growling and swearing at folks from Microsoft, I accidently figured that 2 windows "local" and "auto" have to be closed so VS could allow you to debug step by step.
Wonder if this is bug related to BackgroundWorker or if it affects any other threads that we create?
